Garage Sale Day Two

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that so many people would want so much of our crap. We had a great day again today. The neighborhood has really benefitted from the transfer of our stuff to their houses, but more importantly, we have benefitted from separating the neighbors from their cash. I have to bring a few things back inside the house today, and I will get to donate a few things to Browning Ferris Industries, so I consider the sale a success.

The christmas stuff was a dud. I couldn't get anyone to think about Christmas in June. Perhaps my son standing around with wet swimming trunks on and a towel around his shoulder had something to do with it.
He didn't have a problem thinking about Christmas. As a a matter of fact, we talked about it at his tee ball game. My standard response is always "lets get through the summer and then we can start thinking about Christmas."

If you are ever totally mad about being in debt or if you just want to make your 1100 sq. ft. seem a little bigger, have a garage sale. You will get rid of a surprising amount of things and make a little cash as well. But stay out of debt and use the cash to buy what you want. I would like to see all of America debt free by 2050.

I love Browning Ferris Industries! I know first hand of their products especially when people at work throw out my stuff and I have to go rummaging in their huge containers in the parking lot in a stiff wind.

Regards,

DG

I would like to donate the flash from Nonnie's camera...come over to my house and spend the night...you can sleep on the floor...when you're almost asleep, I'll get your attention and put the flash just inches from your face...then BAM!...after the glare wears off, I'll get a flashlight and project shadows of my meat on the ceiling...it'll be like old times...
