The best time of year for a baseball fan. This launches eight months of nightly guaranteed entertainment. Baseball is always there for you. Turn on your radio from early April until October and you will hear a game almost every night.
At this time of year I make my annual predictions as to what will transpire over the next eight months, so here goes.
- The Indians will win 85-90 games and win the Central Division
- The White Sox will be in it till the end but injuries will deplete their roster
- The Indians will lose Aaron Boone to an injury the first week of the season and it will end his season, thrusting Andy Marte into a starting role with the Tribe
Now for the team leaders:
- Homers Travis Hafner 44
- RBI Hafner 125
- Average Peralta .330
- Wins Cliff Lee 22
- ERA Sabathia 3.57
Here's hoping that the team clicks on all cylinders to make 2006 a playoff year.

I agree Hafner will lead the team, maybe even the league, in HR. That dope Manny Ramirez will lead the AL in RBI, Alex Rodriguez will lead the AL in AVG.
What I would like to know is why our various "bets" over the years were never settled...don't you know you owe me at least several thousand dollars by now?...you know who I am!
